STA Engineer

I am professionally an electronics engineer focused on the timing sign-off aspects of chip design. Misquoting Peter Jackson's Gandalf, I ensure that “a signal is never late. Nor is it early; it arrives precisely when it means to”.

Scripting Enthusiast

As part of my work, I sometimes hack together scripts in shell, sed, awk, tcl and python. As a result I am also a semi-pro computerist. I seem to spend a lot of time writing parsers.

(Occasional) Blogger

I have, initially regularly and later infrequently, been a blogger for more than 15 years now. I enjoy writing, especially the feeling of clarity that comes during the process. A bit unfortunately, I enjoy thinking about writing more. I also have the tendency to jump onto the next shiny thing so whatever I write is scattered across the dying internet.
